The largest religion followed in Nepal drives most of the festivals of the country. Be it the 10 day festival of dashain, the festival of color holi or the day of the dead  Gai jatra, they are all part of the larger Hindu lunar calendar. The holiest of the holy shrine of Pashupati also resides in the Kathmandu valley. Other Hindu shines can be seen through out the ancient architecture of the country.
